Hospital Indemnity:

Being in the hospital for an extended time can take its toll. The deductibles and co-pays, the missed days from work, the resulting loss of income. Even the best medical plans can leave an individual with out of pocket expenses. Chubb’s Hospital Indemnity Plans provide covered individuals with a cash benefit that pays for each day an insured is hospital confined as the result of an accident. The cash benefit can be used as the insured chooses, such as paying for deductibles, mortgage payments, child care, rent, family member travel, or any other financial need.

Benefits Include:

   • In-Hospital Benefit: an insured receives a daily cash benefit for each day of hospitalization, after any elimination period, due to an

     accident or sickness.

   • Recuperation: this pays a daily benefit to the insured for the same period of time covered by the in-hospital benefit and is paid in a

lump sum upon discharge from the hospital.

   • ICU: an additional daily benefit for each day, after any elimination period, the insured person spends in the intensive care unit of a hospital.

Critical Illness Plan:

Nobody wants to hear that they are diagnosed with a critical or life-threatening illness, but having a plan in place allows the focus to be on the recovery instead of worrying about the bills.

Our Critical Illness plan provides cash benefits for defined illnesses or conditions, such as cancer, heart attack, stroke and major organ transplant, to help cover out-of-pocket medical and other non-medical expenses.  Insureds can use the lump sum benefit payment for any purpose they choose: paying off deductibles, child care, transportation costs for themselves or family members, loss of income, or any other financial need. The plan is ideal for those who want to supplement their primary insurance with a plan that can help them manage the costs associated with a critical illness – beyond the expected payments for treatments.
